The Spaghetti Incident

Click on any of these to enlarge them

It was a trope we couldn't resist, a right of passage every child and parent must pass through - the first spaghetti dinner. Oh the horror. This first pick gives us a nice overview of the damage. Oliver seemed miraculously incapable of getting the spaghetti on his outift, but found everywhere else to be an easy target.

Did he like the spaghetti? The impish grin below gives us a clue.

In the pick below, Oliver took a moment to let the spirit move him.

All in all a great time was had by everyone!

Simon's Birthday Party!

Birthday boy Simon is holding the balloon on the left while Avery (so pretty in pink and white!) looks on. Dig those awesome curls on Simon!

Below the three babies check out the balloon, while Oliver's headless dad moves rapidly in the background for no apparent reason.

Oliver and Avery show everyone that xylophone sticks have an alternative purpose for teething infants.

Musical talent be damned, my gums hurt!

Simon shows everyone his moves with the maracas.

Nicole, Avery, Oliver and Simon. Note how Oliver's dad manages to artfully conceal his face behind the balloon.

Simon shows us how to stand and uses his maracas to protect us from dangerous airborne predators like helium balloons.

Avery and Oliver in the play area.

Oliver offers his assistance in opening presents!

Avery made sure to handle all the reading material for Simon.

All in all Simon appeared to be having a good time! Or a seizure!

Simon attempts to eat his present while Oliver makes his break for it.

A good time was had by all - happy birthday Simon!

Christmas Pix!

Oliver's very first X-mas was an exciting time. We had lots of people over, including Oliver's great grandmother Daisy!

The stockings were hung on the stairway with care. And overfilled to the point of absurdity!

Oliver kept everyone entertained by rocking out in the Jolly Jumper.

Murray, Oliver and Opa sat together as they waited for Santa to arrive.

Oliver shows off his eating skills to the whole family.

Unlce Jason feels something warm and wet in his lap but true to form blamed it on Oliver.

X-mas is here!!!!

Here's Oliver with some of his favourite gifts! In the first picture, Oliver shows off his own remote control! In the second, he takes a ride on his new TRUCK!

After it was all done, we waved goodbye to Oma and Opa. Bye Oma and Opa!

Catching Up!

Well a busy holiday season entertaining family and friends has created dead spot for updates, one I hope to fix now!

First up, here are a whole bunch of pre-X-mas photos that I've been meaning to post;

Jennifer came down for a visit!

We recently started Oliver on solid foods - which has lead to a few giggles...

And of course...

Say Hello! to Mom's new device for carrying Oliver - The Moby! It's a wrap that creates a surprisingly comfortable harness for carrying him in a variety of positions. The best news is that it spreads his weight around - which means less lower back pain as he puts on weight. Dad says that it mysteriously fails to interfere with how Atomically Hot Oliver's Mom is. But nobody listens to Dad.

Even Dad likes Moby....this is from our walk to the Ugly Mug coffee shop.

Oliver continues to rock the Bumbo!

He also sat still long enough for us to take his picture on our couch - note the precisely folded hands!

That is so long as nobody interferes with his concentration...

And obviously, Oliver hates having his picture taken...

Lazy Saturday Morning

Who you calling lazy?

Oliver and his New Shoes

The shoes were a gift from Uncle Jason and were acquired in our trip to Vancouver. Here's Oliver testing them out at home with Grandma!

Oliver and Crew go Swimming

Mom recently started taking Oliver for afternoon swimming!

Here is Oliver discovering that his flotation device tastes like plastic!

Here's Avery, Simon and Oliver enjoying a float together

Here's Simon and his Mom Lisa (with Avery off in the background to the right)

Here's Avery and her Mom Nicole - Avery is apparently following Oliver's lead and attempting to consume the flotation device.
